    The Careers, Employability and Placements Service offer:

    • 24/7 CV and Cover Letter Support - CareerSet will give you instant, high-quality, tailored feedback on your CV and Cover Letters for specific roles. Log in to using your university email.
    • One-to-one careers information, advice and guidance - book an in-person or online appointment with a careers advisor to explore your options, discuss next steps, identify where to find jobs and opportunities, and support with career-related research and decision making.
    • Application and selection coaching - our careers advisors provide feedback on application documents, and signpost and advice to support preparation for interviews, psychometric testing and assessment centres.
    • Skills workshops - attend sessions run in your course area or as part of our Autumn Careers programme; topics covered include CVs, using AI, interview skills, networking and how to build a career plan.
    • Employer talks and pop-ups – meet and engage with employers during their pop-up sessions, skills workshops or employer presentations.
    • Support with building your online presence - CareerSet will give you feedback on the effectiveness of your LinkedIn profile. You can work with a careers advisor to understand how to use social media for career planning, research and building your professional network.
    • Careers Fairs - we host an annual Careers and Placement Fair and Land and Property Management Fair every Autumn. We support you to get the most out of these events through Networking and Prepare for the Fair workshops.
    • Help finding work - support with part-time jobs, vacation work, internships, placement and graduate opportunities, including dedicated placement staff. We also have an on-campus recruitment agency, , which places students and graduates in temporary and full-time roles.
    • Guidance on further study - find out about postgraduate options, consider whether it’s the right next step for you, and get guidance on how to stand out in personal statements.
